2020 Science focuses on the relationships between science, technology and society, with a heavy bias toward emerging technologies such as nanotechnology, synthetic biology and geoengineering. As a personal and independent blog, it covers stuff that grabs my interest or gets my goat - especially in my professional areas of risk science, science policy and communication/engagement. As a result, I spend quite a lot of time exploring how to make sense of science and technology in a complex and not entirely rational society.

Also a father of two girls; photographer; birdwatcher; bookworm; cinephile; and explorer of the internets.
